Schaumburg Public House: Reviews & Ratings
Had drinks and a salad ..I believe Joe was the amazing person who served me.He has a phenomenal personality..a huge personality...I noticed he was very personable...I felt like royalty . Every person I saw him interact with he treated amazingly.
The service was great. The food overall was okay. They have a full bar. This place is inside the building on the 2nd floor.
First, I think you should know that this is a hotel restaurant, that is also a part of a big convention center. We didn't notice this, until we were pulling in and would have liked to know this beforehand, as we may not have went. The restaurant is upstairs from the u-shaped drop off point in the parking lot. The first impression is that the place is nice, bright and clean. We told the host that we wanted a table for two and he said the bar has open tables and took us there. This isn't what we really wanted, would have rather a regular table, but we just rolled with it. The entire restaurant was lightly populated with customers and we received very fast/courteous attention from the bar tender. The bar tables are built into a large bench that extends one side of the bar and then very small, hard and uncomfortable chairs on the other side of them. The bench is super deep and if you leaned back, there would be no way you could reach the tables. The food came quickly and all was just okay in flavor. One of our orders was a grilled chicken salad and it mentioned anchovies, so we inquired about not getting them and the waitress said, no worries, it won't come with them, and it in fact did come with them, so they quickly remade it without them. The salad was a bit bland but okay overall. We had a brisket grilled cheese sandwich that was also okay. The prices were average and we walked out feeling that we would only return if we were hungry, in the area and no events going on at the convention center, as the parking is crazy when it's busy, as one would expect if they knew that is where this restaurant is at.
Danny on Omelets and Christina serving the tables were TOP NOTCH. Once again, marriott delivers the best in service whether it’s in the rooms or in the dining areas. Christina was professional, friendly, and efficient. Danny gave great recommendations for his best omelette and was a true chef. This was our first time staying at the Schaumburg convention center hotel and we will be back and recommended to others. The SPH was a fabulous stock and we recommend you try the Gather Bar in the same facility as well. Great service.
Staying at the hotel for a conference this week and dined last night. We had great service and found it was a relaxing atmosphere which I and my colleague enjoyed. I ordered the Bison bacon meatballs and pressed ham & swiss and super good. My coworker got the bacon cheeseburger…Would definitely visit again.
OMG, I came hungry and my stomach is well pleased! Ordered the Mushroom & Root Vegetable Skillet which had chive drop biscuits, carrots, green beans, peas, parsnips, pearl onions, oyster mushrooms! It was warm, flavorful, and loved the touch of the chive biscuits! Reminded me of chicken pot pie! The biscuits were just the right amount of crunch, moist, and super tasty! My palette is really sensitive to salt and could taste it in everything (hence the 4/5 rating) but the seasonings made this meal pop! My server also said it was their favorite dish too and I can see why! Next time I’m at a conference in Schaumburg, I’ll order this again as the restaurant is connected to the hotel and convention center.
This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! We loved the convenience of having a restaurant right inside of our hotel (it is open to the general public, you do not need to be a hotel guest) Everything we tried on the menu was high quality and delicious! Our server was friendly and efficient. We were told nearly everything is made from scratch in house and you can tell. We got the horseradish dip, barbecue brisket flat bread, grilled chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles and potato soup. Everything was incredible and we would highly reccomend. It was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had.
